Book 6 of the Baxter series. My go to when I'm in a reading slump and just need something I know I will like. Sweet, clean and I can count on loving it. This one introduced new characters and was less about the 5 siblings. But I'm sure I'll grow to love these characters too.

I am hooked on Karen Kingsbury books! This is book #1 of the second series of "The Baxters." I have gotten so into these books that I have literally caught myself beginning to pray for one of the characters (no joke). These stories show how faith and family bring you through trials, struggles and just life in general.

I read the first of the Baxter family series earlier this year, and I had to take a break for a while. I picked them back up this week, and it was enjoyable. As I always describe her work, its the perfect after work, my-brain-is-fried kinda book. Easy read, but with great intertwining story lines. Sometimes kind of cheesy, but that is expected. I will say she did a fantastic job writing the stalker character in the novel.

this book is another baxter series but the focus was mostly on dayne but i must say she does a amazing job including so many characters from other books and series i love how she ties them in she never leaves you wondering where a character is or what happened to them i absolutely love her cant wait to read the 2nd book to the series i hope landon and Ashley have a baby together ❤❤ and i hope katy and dayne figure out they are in love time to read and find out :)

This book was a great start to the First Born series. This book obviously focused on the first born son of the Baxter family, Dayne Matthews. Dayne is a successful Hollywood actor, trying to cast a lead role to play opposite him in his next movie, a romantic comedy. None of the top Hollywood actresses seem to fit the part because it calls for an innocent small town girl. This was my first Karen Kingsbury book and honestly it was just okay. I probably wouldn't bother to read the rest of this series as it just didn't hold my interest.The main character is offered a big break in a Hollywood film. She is living in a quiet rural community and was apparently headhunted by a male movie star due to her appearance of innocence. She auditions and perhaps not surprisingly is offered the part...I won't spoil the rest of the story but it revolves around faith vs fame
