I wasnt a fan of the art at first, and the main character remained kind of distractingly comical-looking for me, but it grew on me. I followed this as a web serial as it was coming out. I'm so glad to see it released in book form. I loved the attention to period detail, the deft way the supernatural/magical elements are woven into the narrative, and the twisting, turning storyline.
