A disappointing ending to an otherwise surprisingly poignant series. I'm wondering if a new author joined the circle of Erin Hunter when this book came along. The thrilling conclusion to the excellent Warriors series! Until Im old and gray, I will always champion the Warriors series as one of my all-time favorites, despite the fact that the first book wasnt published until I was 23 and they are supposedly written for 8-year-olds.If you arent familiar, the Warriors books follow four clans of what we would call feral cats that battle each other, and sometimes work together towards common enemies (two-legs, dogs, rogue cats, etc.). Wild and free warrior cats definitely have interesting stories. But also very difficult lives, as they are sometimes cold, hungry and they also have to fight for territory. I'd make all of them plump "kittypets" who won't need to go to war or freeze in the forest
