This is the first book I have read and reviewed for this author. She gives a different twist to the paranormal to say the least. It's far from following the set in stone ways of vamps, weres, and shifters, to name a few. Shade has lost so much in her young life. The first thing I have to say is that I like that this novel has several viewpoints. Although some amazing books have just one view point, I find I am always wondering about what is going on inside the mind of another character. This book introduces you into the minds of the characters without complicating the story. Im trying to say this without spoiling the plot for anyone, because this story is a good book.The impossible situation for each of the characters is part of what makes this story

The only reason why this book didn't get 3 or 4 stars from me is because of the AWFUL grammar and spelling mistakes consistent throughout the book. THe sentence structure was so poor. The author NEEDS a better editor. The story itself was very good. I liked the characters, the progression of relationships, the plot, etc. This book should have gotten three or four stars, but the grammatical and spelling errors were far too many to be able to just read straight through. It took me several tries.

I got this book as a kindle freebie and really liked the description of it. But this book is so badly written that I can hardly concentrate on the story. I wanted to quit at 2% but read on to 10% to see if I could get past the bad grammar and writing style once the story took off, but it's just too bad and I can't bring myself to finish the story.

I'll honestly say that this story held me in it and kept me wanting more. Too cute, too sweet, and Damon is the type of guy you would not want to miss out on ;) (I want me a Damon now. But I'll keep him for Shade. I think she can get a bit jealous, and when she's jealous she can get a bit feisty :/). The characters were kick-a**, and its worth to read. I love how the story developed and opened. Its packed with action and romance all at once. And I fell in love with Shade who is a dark elfin
